This is the first 10 minutes or so of the 2 hours of my last web class test run. Just a basic run down of where my process goes. I edited out some technical difficulties so there are a few small gaps, but yeah. Here you go.
Online course dry run!
Tonight! 5 pm PST. Be there or…be…not there. Right? Gonna do basically my intro to zbrush and treat it less like a Q&A more like the initial class and see how the functionality for gotomeeting works for it in that context. This is not going to be an intensive breakdown of my workflow, more of a basic rundown of the little fiddly bits of getting into zbrush. I’d totally dig on you folks sitting in and giving me some feedback on it. And hey, it’s free. How is that bad? Online coursery.
Oh hey guys! I realize I am not posting videos as frequently as I used to. It turns out its a lot of time investment. However! Last weekend we did a test run of what an online course might be like. It’s happening. I’ll be teaching Zbrush through futurepoly online as well as the normal in classroom bits I’ve already been doing. If anyone is interested in that prospect, get at me. I know one or two of you have expressed some interest over the last year or two.
It’s my intention to follow through on this one. Gonna try and record/complete an entire model. This means there will be a substantial length increase on the videos…I’ll likely have to mark the interesting ones.
Another lunchtime nonsense. I think I’ll be posting the critter I’m building during the FuturePoly class I’m teaching. We will see how that goes. I knicked this concept from www.sketchwich.com which is a blog a lot of the ArenaNet artists post on. Dougggggg williams created it—also at lunch! ya!
So I came back to brontoman after some time away. Pillaged his back legs for a base sculpt on the front. Will rehas most of the wrinkles, but its nice to look a little more developed for a hot minute.
In other news, FuturePoly has started all of our first classes. Mine is smaller than the rest, but it turns out it’s likely for the better. Very excited about it nonetheless! Aieeee. We’re not a college, but shit. I need a title right? I’m gonna go with Coach. Coach Pikop, if you wouldn’t mind. Let’s make that happen.
